Digestive system model by Arti Mam

August 23 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

A digestive system model represents the organs and processes involved in breaking down food so the body can absorb nutrients and eliminate waste. The human digestive system begins at the mouth, where food is chewed and mixed with saliva. It then travels down the esophagus to the stomach, where it is further broken down by stomach acids and enzymes. From there, the partially digested food moves into the small intestine, where most nutrient absorption takes place with the help of bile from the liver and enzymes from the pancreas. The remaining undigested material passes into the large intestine, where water is absorbed and waste is formed into stool. A digestive system model helps visualize how each part works together to convert food into energy and essential nutrients that support body functions.
